Rise & Shine with our new Sunrise Flow class.

Upon waking, our bodies can be tight and dehydrated, craving a grounding experience to begin anew. An early practice can create fluidity that has a resounding effect on the day.

Ease into your morning by connecting with your breath, finding an easeful rhythm, and allow your body to slowly awaken. Expect to warm up, get your body moving through sun salutations, and drift into a restful savasana to provide you with a peaceful mind throughout the day.

All you have to do is set your alarm and make it here — let us do the rest! Sunrise Flow is all levels and set to music.


About Your Teachers

George Halvorson (Tuesday mornings)

George Halvorson is a yoga instructor, musician, and artist. His yoga practice began in 2008 and he was instantly mesmerized by the authenticity, creativity, diversity, and loving spirit that his favorite teachers brought to their practices. He also quickly discovered that yoga was the long sought after medicine he needed to manage an enduring battle with panic attacks. Yoga brought with it all of the benefits of a great workout (and then some) plus a deeply meditative quality that gave him a peace of mind he had not felt so consistently before.

Over the years, it became clear that his yoga practice had slowly guided him towards a much healthier life-practice. Feeling inspired to share these benefits with others he completed his 200-hour teacher-training course with the Soul Culture Yoga School in 2018.   

He believes that yoga is the ultimate stress reliever, providing your body and mind   with the space to be present and that through the physical practice of yoga you can deepen your connection with your higher self and maintain that connection off of the mat.

Katie King (Thursday mornings)

Katie has been a student of Pranayama (breathe techniques) since 1996 and found a regular practice of Power Yoga in 1998. After catching the yoga bug she found the personal benefits of weight loss, stress reduction, goal setting and the sutras through her commitment to her practice. In her professional career and personal love of traveling, Katie has had the honor of practicing yoga at studios around the world and decided to complete a certification in Ashtanga Yoga in 2004. Since that time, she has taught at multiple studios around the Northshore of Boston. A consummate student, Katie continues to indulge in related literature and assorted workshops to improve her own practice as well as find inspiration to bring to her classes. Specifically Katie has studied Iyengar with Patricia Walden, Power Yoga under Beryl Bender Birch and guided meditation with Cindi Lee to compliment her Ashtanga roots. As a mom, business owner and therapist, Katie is ecstatic to bring her renewed energy of teaching & light hearted approach to classes here at The Yoga Loft.


Workshop Refund Policy: 

Full payment is required to reserve a space in workshops. All workshops are non-refundable. Due to limited space and high demand for some workshops we have a 24 hour cancelation policy. Cancelations made more than 24 hours in advance will be issued studio credit. No credit will be given for cancelations made less than 24 hours.
