Qi Energy + Ease Series: Yin, Acupuncture and Sound Bath

Qi Energy + Ease Series: Yin, Acupuncture and Sound Bath

with Mary Beth Clancy and Holly Shuman

Saturday, March 16, 2024

3:30 - 5:00 PM

$35

Our Spring Equinox celebration focuses on Qi energy balance and vitality.  Linger in Yin asanas, receive an optional acupuncture treatment and absorb the relaxing vibes of a healing sound bath.

Spring Yin poses target the liver and its meridians, encouraging the mind-body to let go and detox. The optional "4 Gates" acupuncture treatment promotes the smooth flow of blood and Qi energy for overall vitality.

Stimulate your inner Spring energetic nature in sync with nature's Spring season.

What to Expect:

• Energy grounding breath meditation (blockage is disease, flow is health)

• Yin asana practice -  monthly, seasonally-attuned asanas open specific tissues of the body and qi meridians (energetic pathways)

• Healing Sound Bath - chakra-tuned instruments resonate with specific meridian pathways and associated organs

• Meridian tapping - palpating physical body (energetic pathways) to shift energy, lose lethargy

• Brief teaching on how the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) elements theory (water, wood, fire, earth, metal ) influences Yin Yoga asanas. TCM thought mirrors the interdependent, dynamic energy present in nature and You

• Wellness benefits of listening to your mind-body with compassionate curiosity

• A new theme each month

About Holly Shuman, MCPHS, L.Ac:

Holly became fascinated by the power of acupuncture after seeking treatment for her miserable allergies. The benefits of the treatments were spilling over into other aspects of her life. She was sleeping better and felt less reactive. Her quality of life generally improved with more energy and less irritability. With no downtime, side effects or prescriptions, acupuncture had changed her life.

“I love what I do!” Holly says. “Everyday I have the opportunity to bring relief, hope and connection to my patients. Healing often starts with just being heard, acknowledged or truly cared for. It's an honor to be a part of someone else's healing journey.”

Holly’s curiosity and clinical experiences have taken her in many directions, as acupuncture is an effective treatment for countless conditions. She has continued her education in areas that most interest her, such as women's health, pain management, anxiety and depression.
