Yoga for Living with Loss

Yoga for Living with Loss

Sunday, November 9, 2025

3:30 PM - 5:00 PM

$50 | with Sheena

Yoga for Living with Loss is a 60-minute yoga class that supports grieving as an ongoing  process. This gentle yoga class provides the support for body, mind, and spirit in  navigating how we live from moment to moment, day to day, with our deep losses.

Grief happens as much in our bodies as in our hearts and minds. As we breathe with  mindfulness, as we move with awareness, as we stay connected to the present, we can  learn how to cherish our memories, acknowledge our pain, and release grief that can stay  trapped in our physical bodies.

Yoga for Living with Loss connects us to our bodies so  that we can maintain our well-being as we continue to live, and even thrive, while  embracing our losses without getting lost.

Open to anyone in the community who has  experienced the death of someone close.

About Sheena:

Sheena Nancy Sarles is a life long student of well-being, a certified Yoga teacher, and a world wide presenter of her created and curated Yoga for Living with Loss™. The losses of her parents, sister, and best friend led her to integrate her yoga practice with her grief. From grief workshops in writing and loss, it became apparent that while grief breaks our hearts, and clouds our thoughts, it also congests in our bodies. She was asked to create a yoga class for healing grief, however, she deeply understands that grief is not healed. We learn to live with our grief. Sheena created Yoga for Living with Loss using the foundation of the chakras, energy centers in our bodies, to bring yoga to the bereaved. She continues to study with many teachers internationally to study the healing relationship of our bodies, minds, and spirits.

Yoga for Living with Loss has been presented at the BaliSpirit Festival, Indonesia; Bertalon Center for  Grief and Healing in Danvers, 2025 HPCFM Annual Education Conference, various studios on the North Shore, and has been published in a variety of publications. She has been a teacher, a communications and fundraising profession, is the author of  “Growing Younger Gracefully: Your Guide to Aging with Vitality, Resilience, and Pizzazz”  and creator of GYG Organic Facial and Body Serums™.  Her second book, “Yoga for Living with Loss, Navigating Our Losses Without Getting Lost” will be published in November, 2025. She lives in Marblehead, MA.  More information is available at www.GrowingYoungerGracefully.com.
