Utthita Parsovakonsana (side angle pose) is an energizing side stretch, and also helps to stabilize and strengthen your core.

Steps:

  1. Starting with a strong base in Warrior II, right foot forward. 

  2. Extending the right side body, place the right elbow on top of the right knee. 

  3. Stretch the left palm up and over toward the front of the mat. 

  4. Focusing on firming through the rib cage, sides of the body are long, imagining a line of energy from the left pinky finger extending to the left pinky toe.
