Teacher Spotlight: Hilary Richard
I draw inspiration from those "aha" moments when I practice. I draw inspiration from those who teach a very alignment-based, masculine practice, and those who teach a very internal and emotional feminine practice. I draw inspiration from seasoned yoga teachers, and from the exploration and new discoveries from first time yogis. I love fluid, creative movement. I love strengthening and challenging poses. I love basing classes on seasonal changes. I take from a lot of places and veer away from being a strict traditionalist. All of this seems to be working so far.
What are the most important elements of your own yoga practice?
I definitely value the physical and challenging aspects of my own practice, however I need my practice for things much deeper. I'm sensitive, I have doubts, I get overwhelmed and unsure of my feelings and thoughts and yoga just helps. It puts my head on straight. I need a practice that will help bring me in and out of my own head.

Thanks to the help and vision of Molly Williams, our multi-faceted studio manager, we are kicking off several new initiatives this fall to help our clients realize their greatest health and well-being.
