Restorative Yoga Workshop

with Jaishree

With the business of the holidays behind us, the New Year offers a unique opportunity to renew ourselves. The winter holidays are both a beautiful and taxing time of year, which often leave us feeling depleted. Restorative Yoga is a therapeutic style of yoga that focuses on relaxing the body in supported postures for an extended time, allowing the body an opportunity to renew. This style of Yoga calms the central nervous system, boosts the immune system and encourages the muscles to fully release.  

This candlelit Restorative Workshop will begin with soulful, relaxing music and a reclined, guided meditation to awaken the subtle body chakras and their healing power. The grounding practice will include gentle hip and shoulder openers to release stress and welcome ease. A long, live serenaded shavasana will then draw us into a complete restful state. We revive for a new year and are transformed by self-love. Suitable for all and no experience is necessary.

Join us for this two hour workshop, to learn in a comfortable atmosphere. Larisa will break down the postures and flow sequences, and will introduce basic breathing and meditation techniques.

      Meditatiom 101 ~ with Angela       

Thursdays January 15th & 22nd

from 7:45-8:45pm

Meditation is an ancient practice with countless benefits for the modern-day living.  It is considered by science and medicine as an invaluable tool for ones physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

 

This workshop will be part discussion and part experiential. In the first session, we will learn about Meditation in the context of the 8 Limbs of Yoga, and practice the concentration techniques that traditionally precede Meditation. In the second session we will move towards crafting one’s own unique meditation practice.

 

Meditation intervals will be relatively short but build over the course of the two sessions (and beyond). Participants will be given several options for how to sit comfortably. Yoga and/or Meditation experience is not necessary.

 

Come and learn how to use this timeless practice to cultivate mindfulness, reduce stress, and feel connected!

Gain Confidence, Strength, Focus, Balance and Flexibility

 

Class runs Tuesdays from 4:15 - 5:15 pm

In this class, teens gain a sense of well being while developing strength, flexibility, and balance. 

By learning breathing and relaxation techniques, young adults can learn to cope with the stresses of school work and social pressures, while also improving athletic performance.

In an effort to simplify the front desk check-in process, and as a way to encourage folks to branch out and try new classes/instructors, we are thrilled to continue our VERY economical Monthly Unlimited Membership for $99 per month.

It is set up as an automatic monthly charge to a credit card, and allows you to take unlimited regularly scheduled classes. There is a 4 consecutive month minimum requirement. If you are currently taking 2 or more classes a week, this $99 monthly membership should save you money.
