Class Descriptions

  • Power Yoga:  A vigorous, challenging, calorie-burning form of yoga in a hot room (87 - 90°). that continuously flows through a sequence of poses which are connected to the breath. Please let the instructor know of any limitations you may have, as the sequences can be easily adapted for everybody.
  • Vinyasa: A flow class at a slower pace in a warm room. (Room temp. 80 - 85°)
  • Hatha: A gentle, restorative class for those seeking a softer approach to opening the body and growing within the postures. Focuses on soothing warm-up stretches and and gentle, strength building poses. Moves at a slower pace with emphasis on alignment, centering, balancing and breathing. Ideal for beginning practitioners, older students, or those who prefer a more moderate, Hatha based form of yoga. (Room temp. 75 - 80°)
  • PranaVayu : A cutting-edge style of Vinyasa yoga that blends creative sequencing with a unique and transformational system of alignment. Moving a a slower pace, this class will allow you to reach deeply into postures for an exhilarating experience.
  • Sunrise Power: A heated flow class that is a great way to start the day.
  • Core Fitness : A class that focuses on building core strength and flexibility using the stability ball as well as yoga postures. Through core development, this class will deepen and engage your yoga practice.
  • Couples Yoga : A relaxing and fun way to leave the stress from the work week behind, and get your weekend off to a great start. Runs periodically on Friday nights. Call  or see website for details.
  • Teen/Kid Power:  An hour yoga class specifically tailored to the unique needs of pre-teens and young teens. Class is designed to help build confidence and reduce stress, as well as gain strength and flexibility. Class runs Fall through Spring.
  • Community Yoga : A free yoga class designed to serve the community in several ways. With most of our instructors volunteering to teach, this class will offer a variety of styles help introduce everyone to yoga. And with a $5 suggested donation, this class will help local charities as well. All proceeds will go to a local charity. Currently the Sue de Vries Cancer Foundation is our beneficiary.
